Cyfododd ein Gwaredwr cu

(Adgyfodiad Crist)
  Cyfododd ein Gwaredwr cu,
  Gadawodd ef y beddrod dÃṠ;
    Dyrchafodd ei fuddugol ben
    Ar bob rhyw elyn îs y nen;
A'r ceidwaid oedd yn gwylio draw,
Syrthiasant oll gan ofnus fraw.

  Wele'r angylaidd fyddin fawr
  Yn cydgyfarfod gyda'r wawr,
    I ddysgwyl eirchion
          Brenin nef -
    Ac wrth ei draed addolent ef;
Disgynent hwy yn hardd eu gwedd,
O'r nefoedd fry,
      i lan ei fedd!

  Yn ol hedasant uwch y ser,
  Gan ddwyn y gwiw newyddion pÃẂr:
    Mor fwyn clodforai'r
          nefol lu
    Wrth hedeg trwy'r wybrenau fry!
Eu cÃḃn oedd hyn, - "Tywysog hedd
Gyfododd heddyw'n fyw o'u fedd!"

  Blant Seion, unwch yn y gÃḃn,
  Eich gwared wnaeth rhag uffern dÃḃn;
    Dadseiniwch fyth ei foliant gwiw
    O gylch y byd lle'r ych yn byw;
Cewch drwyddo goncwest
      ar y bedd,
A'i foli'n Nghanaan lawn o hedd.

TÃṀn [666688]: Stowell (<1876)

(The resurrection of Christ)
  Our dear Deliverer arose,
  He left the black tomb;
    He lifted up his victorious head
    Over every kind of enemy under heaven;
And the guards who were watching yonder,
They had all fallen through fearful terror.

  See the great angelic army
  Meeting together with the dawn,
    To await the commands
          of the King of heaven -
    And at his feet they worshipped him;
They descended with a beautiful appearance,
From the heavens above,
      to the side of his grave!

  After they had flown above the stars,
  Bearing the worthy, sweet news:
    So genially would
          the heavenly host praise
    While flying through the skies above!
Their song was this, - "The Prince of peace
Arose today alive from his grave!"

  Ye children of Zion, join in the song,
  Deliver you he did from hell fire;
    Echo ye forever his worthy praise
    Around the world where ye are living;
Ye may get through him a conquest
      over the grave,
And to praise him in Canaan full of peace.
